RESEARCH

We rigorously research and conduct high quality analysis on issues of sustainable development. Our thinking is original and thought provoking.

CONVENE

We convene opinion leaders and experts from across Canada around our table to share their knowledge and diverse perspectives. We stimulate debate and integrate polarities. We create a context for possibilities to emerge.

ADVISE

We generate ideas and provide realistic solutions to advise governments, Parliament and Canadians. We proceed with resolve and optimism to bring Canada’s economy and environment closer together.

Convene

We convene opinion leaders and experts from across Canada around our table to share their knowledge and diverse perspectives. We stimulate debate and integrate polarities. We create a context for possibilities to emerge. We meet Canadians from every region of the country to engage them in our deliberations. In fact, the NRT is the only national organization with a direct mandate from Parliament to engage Canadians in the generation and promotion of sustainable development advice and solutions.

The Conference of Defence Associations (CDA) will hold their annual 2012 Ottawa Conference on Defence & Security on February 23-24 2012 in Ottawa. NRT President and CEO David McLaughlin will be a speaker at this event for the panel focused on energy security.

Winnipeg Consensus Group Meeting

The Winnipeg Consensus Group will host an invitation-only dialogue entitled “Building Momentum: Towards a Canadian Energy Strategy” on February 27-28, 2012 in Halifax. NRT President and CEO David McLaughlin will attend this event.
